Leeds have started the season with impressive form in all competitions, but manager Marcelo Bielsa has achieved this with a streamlined squad.

With the loan transfer window open for another couple of weeks the Elland Road chief may feel he needs to bolster his squad to cope with the pressures of a Championship campaign.

Leeds are one of a number of clubs to have been linked with a move for 24-year-old Peterborough winger Marcus Maddison who could be made available by the Posh.

So should Bielsa push hard to seal a deal for Maddison?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

Yes.

Maddison is quality and deserves a chance in the Championship but as yet no deal has gone through for him.

Peterborough would be more than happy to keep him, of course, but he's good enough to step up and Leeds should try and get him.

Jay Taylor

Absolutely.

Marcus Maddison is a player who should be playing at a higher level, and he is a man who would fit perfectly into Marcelo Bielsa’s system.

His Peterborough career is over, and he has the chance now to move during this loan window.

Maddison would give the Elland Road side something slightly different in their attack comparing with what they already have.

Alfie Burns

As good as Maddison’s stats were last season, it’d be a step too far for him.

The Peterborough playmaker is very similar to what Leeds already have, and Bielsa should be looking to strengthen other areas of his squad.

If Leeds were keen, you’d imagine they’d have moved some time ago.

Gary Hutchinson

Not push hard, no.

Maddison is a good player, but he’s a luxury player. He’s got so much talent and can create goals as well as score them. He offers cover along the left side of the park and on the face of it, is a real prospect.

There’s a couple of hang ups I have though. He’s sometimes anonymous, when he’s good he’s very good, but when he’s bad you have ten men.

Also, Peterborough are holding teams to ransom a little. This is like a stand off in a western film, everyone is waiting for the first move before a huge shoot out. There’s no need for Leeds to be involved in that.
