Portsmouth continue to maintain a solid play-off spot in League One and will still harbour ambitions of an automatic spot, currently only two points off second placed Barnsley with six matches remaining.

Despite everything to play for in their remaining fixtures, Pompey boss Kenny Jackett is already looking ahead to the summer with Plymouth Argyle defender Ryan Edwards the man he wants to replace Matt Clarke if he goes in the summer, according to the Sun on Sunday (April 7, Page 61).

So would Edwards be a good addition to the Pompey squad?

We discuss……..

Sam Rourke

“It’d be a great signing.

“Edwards has become a real focal point in that Argyle team and it’s no surprise to see Pompey court him for his services.

“His experience operating to a high level in League One would make this a useful addition to Jackett’s team.”

George Dagless

“Potentially.

“Portsmouth want to try and add and Edwards is a good player with experience.

“He’d be a decent footballer for them for sure.”

Gary Hutchinson

“Very good indeed.

“I like Edwards and he’d look much better in a strong Pompey side.

“If they’re not going up, which is 50/50 at best, they do need to freshen up considerably.”
