QPR look like naming their new manager this week amid speculation that they are on the verge of appointing former Brentford and Rangers manager Mark Warburton, according to the Evening Standard.

If appointed Warburton has a big job on his hands after Rangers suffered a disappointing campaign, finally finishing up in 19th spot following a win over Sheffield Wednesday on the final day of the season.

Warburton will need to assess his squad quickly and of the many decisions he needs to make, he will need to decide if 36-year-old full-back Angel Rangel has any future at Loftus Road, having spent this season at the club after securing a short-term deal in the summer.

So, should QPR sign on Rangel for another year?

We discuss.......

Ben Lang

"Yes, he's been so consistent this year.

"There are a lot of young players coming through at Loftus Road, and they could do with an experienced figure like Rangel to help them.

"There's likely to be an overhaul at the club this summer, but I think it's important Rangel keeps his place."

Gary Hutchinson

“I’m not convinced they should, no.

“If they do, they’re standing still and whilst he might do a job, they need to move forward.

“There’s better in League One, there’s better coming to the end of deals in the Prem and QPR need to move on.

“He’s done a decent job, shake hands and walk away.”

Toby Wilding

"It would make sense to give him the chance.

"Rangel's experience and insight could be incredibly helpful to some of the club's younger players, and given the reaction to his recent comments, you feel an extension of his time at Loftus Road could give a timely mood lifter to the club's supporters."

George Brooks

"Potentially, yes. Rangel is an experienced player and would be a good option for QPR to have in their squad,

"I think a lot of it will depend on what Rangel feels is best for him and whether he is prepared to not start every week at this stage of his career.

"He may want to stay at QPR, somewhere where he already has a good relationship with the club and its supporters."
