QPR manager Mark Warburton is keen to add to his squad and has identified Ipswich Town midfielder Alan Judge as a target, with a second bid from the R's for the 30-year-old already rejected by the Tractor Boys, as reported in the EADT.

Judge though is keen to hold talks with QPR and so this potential transfer seems far from over, with the player keen to return to the Championship, following relegation to League One last season.

So would a transfer to Loftus Road prove a good move for Judge?

We discuss........

Chris Gallagher

"It would be the perfect move for him.

"Even though I feel sorry for Ipswich in this situation, the reality is that the player is too good for League One and the chance to link up with Mark Warburton again has to appeal.

"Despite his injury issues, he still has a lot to offer in the second-tier and he will be playing for a manager who knows how to get the best out of him. His ability to open up a defence will also be welcome at Loftus Road too, with the team lacking in that department after Luke Freeman left.

"Warburton's style of play is ideal for a technically-gifted player like Judge and he could become an important player for the R's. So, it seems like a matter of time before this happens and it's a fantastic chance for the player to prove he can still deliver in the Championship."

George Brooks

"It seems as though Judge now has his heart set of leaving Portman Road this summer and I think QPR would be a good move for him.

"He was an important player for Ipswich during the second half of last season and still has a lot to offer in the Championship.

"On top of that, he has got the chance to go straight into the midfield at Loftus Road, with Luke Freeman leaving QPR to join Sheffield United.

"He was excellent under Mark Warburton for Brentford and the QPR boss should be able to help him get his career back on track.

"He recently signed a new deal at Portman Road, so it would be a major blow for Ipswich to lose him, as he would no doubt be one of their standout players in League One next term.

"However, there is little point in Paul Lambert keeping him at the club if he doesn't want to be there and QPR would be a good move for him."

Ben Lang

"This would be unexpected given that Judge has recently signed a new deal at Ipswich, but I can certainly understand why a move to West London may now appeal to him.

"Judge is at a stage in his career where he will want to be playing at the highest level possible, and a move to the Rs could grant him the chance to stay in the Championship despite Ipswich's relegation.

"He also played some of the best football in his career under Mark Warburton at Brentford, so a switch to QPR could see him re-discover the form that earned him such wide plaudits not too long ago.

"He is also used to living in West London having spent so long at Brentford, so I think this move makes sense for Judge at this point in his career."
