Hull City have made a decent start to life in the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League last season.

The Tigers finished 18th and six points adrift of safety to see their one-year stay in the top-flight come to an end, and it instigated much change at the KCOM Stadium over the summer, with manager Marco Silva and first teamers such as Harry Maguire and Curtis Davies leaving the club.

And it all meant that former CSKA Moscow and Russia boss Leonid Slutsky was given his first managerial role in English football at the North East outfit, and he has moved to bring in the likes of Michael Hector and Fraizer Campbell in a bid to bounce straight back to the Premier League.

And the Tigers could be close to landing another deal before Thursday’s 11pm transfer deadline, as recent reports suggest that Leicester City’s Ahmed Musa could be about to join the club on loan for the entirety of the season.

The 24-year-old moved to the King Power Stadium last summer but has been unable to make a meaningful impact at the club, and has thus failed to make any of Craig Shakespeare’s matchday squads in their first five league games of the season.

Yet Slutsky’s Hull are reportedly seeking to give the Nigeria international a lifeline in English football for the current campaign, which is news that has provoked quite a reaction from Tigers supporters on Twitter.

And it’s fair to say that many would be delighted if they managed to land Musa before Thursday’s deadline…
