Preston North End are weighing up a move for young striker Sam Surridge, according to Alan Nixon of the Sun.

The 20-year-old Bournemouth striker was on loan at Yeovil last season and is on fire, in his current loan spell at League Two side Oldham Athletic.

So would Surridge be good for Preston?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

If a loan deal can be agreed, it would be a solid deal.

Surridge has been on fire so far this season, and a move to a higher division on a temporary basis in January could be a solid signing.

Preston are organised but it looks like they lack a little bit of firepower up front, and if he could be added to the side, then it would be a most welcome addition.

Gary Hutchinson

He had a good season at Yeovil and looks to be having the same at Oldham.

He’s not the finished article, I couldn’t see a start at Preston right now, but it would be a good move for him.

They could get a decent player if they handle him right.

Sam Rourke

He looks a top player, and and at his age he's surely only going to get better.

Snapping him up early would be a good idea, though a lot would depend on if Eddie Howe would be willing to let one of his hot prospects depart the Cherries.
