Wolves are being linked with an ambitious transfer swoop for Arsenal's Jack Wilshere, according to the Mirror.

Would this be a good signing for Nuno Santo's side? Can you see the Gunners letting him go?

What a signing it'd be.

Wilshere has his doubters and injury problems but he's been better this season and he'd still be a real catch for Wolves.

They're clearly looking to do more than finish in safety next season and such a signing would highlight that.

Wolves don't need to bring in Jack Wilshere even if he is a free agent. They already have a strong midfield with Neves being an excellent deep-lying playmaker.

Wilshere's wage demands are unlikely to be low and he is injury-prone, so they could find a cheaper alternative to act as back-up for Neves who is likely to be a lot more reliable than Wilshere.

Alfie Burns

It would be a huge statement from Wolves to bring a player of Wilshere’s calibre to Molineux next season.

I’m a big fan of the 26-year-old, however, if I was Nuno, I’d be leaving the England midfielder alone.

His wages are disgustingly high for a player who could well be on the sidelines for extended periods of the season.

That money could be spent better elsewhere.
