Leeds United's planning for next season is very much under the spotlight, amid a report in the New York Times that Whites owner Andrea Radrizzani is in advanced talks with Nasser al-Khelaifi, who heads up Qatar's sports investment arm, about a move into English football via the Elland Road outfit.

Al-Khelaifi is also President of French giants Paris St Germain and chairman of global sports network beIN Sports, while also being a close friend of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

So just how important would the QSI investment be for Leeds?

We discuss........

Ben Lang

"Given the potential funds that could become available, I think it's very important.

"Radrizzani has spoken about how Leeds face a difficult window where some stars may be sold, but the investment would completely wipe out those concerns.

"It could give Bielsa a huge boost ahead of next season and provide the club with long-term stability."

Kealan Hughes

"It would be a game-changer.

"Radrizzani has hinted that it could be a tough summer ahead for Leeds, which suggests that finances could be restricted to just loan signings or picking up players on a free.

"Greater investment would allow them to hold on to their better players, whilst going after targets like Dwight Gayle and Callum O'Dowda, who they have been linked with this summer."

Louie Chandler

"It is hard to say at the moment.

"These investment stories are always very hard to read until they are actually completed so I will hold full judgement until it is done.

"But if it allows the club to bring in a couple more top, t op signings then it could be the difference between winning promotion and not."

Gary Hutchinson

“Investment is going to be crucial for Leeds.

“Last year they fell short in terms of recruitment.

“The business they did was good, but it wasn’t enough. They needed a final boost and were too frugal.

“If they’re more able to recruit this summer, it might be the final piece of the jigsaw.”

Jacob Potter

"I don’t think it’s a necessity.

"Leeds could certainly benefit from new signings over the summer as they prepare for next season.

"But Marcelo Bielsa has already shown that he can get the best out of players that have previously struggled to perform to a high standard.

"It would be a welcome boost, but it wouldn’t be the end of the world if investment wasn’t secured."
