FLW's West Bromwich Albion fan pundit, Justin Salvino, has given his honest thoughts on rumours linking star striker Jay Rodriguez with a Premier League move this summer.

The Express and Star reported on Monday that Bournemouth and Burnley were both interested in signing the 29-year-old with the Baggies asking for £20million in return.

However, Salvino is torn on what would be the best move for his side. On the one hand, the potential fee is tempting, but losing both of their star strikers in one summer is a worry for him.

"I've seen the reports come in and I'm on the fence about this one," the regular punter told Football League World.

"£20 million is a lot to sell for and I think that would be a good price if we could actually get it. But losing both sides of our dynamic strike partnership in one summer, it would be a devastating blow to our campaign next season."

Rodriguez scored 22 goals in the 2018/19 campaign, forming a brutal partnership with Newcastle United loanee Dwight Gayle, who netted 23 as well but will not be returning to the club.

But as much as Salvino fears his departure, he has a few ideas of who could be called upon to replace - from both in the club and outside it.

"I think some of the talent that we have like Kyle Edwards will be able to fill in his role," he said.

"And one of the players I loved watching this season was Lyle Taylor, he was a goal scoring machine and looked to be one of the most prolific strikers in League One.

"If we can convince Charlton to let go of him, I think he could inject some life and pace into our attack."
