Fouad Bachirou has agreed a move in principle to Omonia Nicosia from Nottingham Forest, according to Sport FM.

Bachirou joined Forest from Malmo last summer but has since been unable to make an impact at the City Ground, making only three appearances for the Reds and playing only 32 minutes of football in the Championship last season.

Ahead of this season, Bachirou was told to find a new club, along with Harry Arter, Gaetan Bong and Carl Jenkinson.

The 31-year-old didn't feature in any pre-season friendlies for the Reds, and instead played for Andy Reid's Under-23 side.

Bachirou has been linked with a move to Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia over the past couple of weeks, and it now looks as if a move is close.

According to Sport FM, Omonia have reached an agreement in principle to sign Bachirou, with his nightmare spell at the City Ground coming to an end soon.

For Forest, it's a positive step as Chris Hughton continues to reshape his squad and try and bring new players in.

Bachirou is someone who is completely out of the manager's plans, and getting his wages off the books could help  to get the ball rolling in regards to incomings.

Here, we take a look at Forest fans' reactions to this potential exit...
