Leeds United manager will be reeling this morning with the news that striker Patrick Bamford will be out for up to four months ,following an injury picked up playing for the U23's.

But injury for one provides opportunity for others, with 17-year-old striker Ryan Edmondson an option for manager Marcelo Bielsa to consider.

So can Edmondson step up following Bamford's injury?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

He might not have to, not in the strictest sense.

Kemar Roofe will still play most of the games, but Edmondson won’t have a choice, he’s going to be called upon.

There’s a lot of buzz around him.

If he takes to the first team like BPF did, Leeds will be laughing.

Jay Taylor

It will be a tall ask for him.

Kemar Roofe will be the main man for the foreseeable future, but Ryan Edmondson will be his deputy and called upon if needed.

It will be down to Marcelo Bielsa to decide if he is ready to step up. If he feels he is, then he will be.

George Dagless

It'll be interesting to see if he can.

If Leeds don't bring in a free agent they'll have to look to the kids for options and Edmondson seems the most prominent.

He did well on the Burma tour and will surely want to impress Bielsa.
