The fans of Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City were treated to an exciting and enthralling five goal thriller last night, a game which ended with the Owls claiming the three points thanks to Kieran Lee's last minute finish which gave them the 3-2 win.

This game had it all, red cards, goals, penalties, the lot.

Bristol City raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to a brace from Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham who netted on the 33rd and 39th minute.

But, in the 52nd minute the comeback started after Scottish international striker Steven Fletcher got a goal back for the hosts.

Bristol City had a chance to restore their two-goal advantage when they were awarded a penalty on the hour-mark after Sam Hutchinson's foul on Marlon Pack, which also resulted in the Wednesday player being sent-off. Lee Tomlin stepped up and saw his penalty fire back off the post, and the score stayed at 2-1.

With the ball still in play, Wednesday looked to counter until the attack was halted after Gary O'Neil lunged in and committed a cynical foul, a foul which resulted in him being given a second yellow card and also heading back to the changing rooms for an early bath.

Goals then came from Owls midfielders Barry Bannan and Kieran Lee to seal the three points for the Owls.
