With the second international break of the season all but over, Nottingham Forest fans will be hugely satisfied with their team's start to the Sky Bet Championship campaign.

The Reds look like real promotion contenders under Sabri Lamouchi, with the Frenchman being named as the division's Manager of the Month for September.

Since their opening day defeat to West Bromwich Albion, Forest are yet to lose in the Championship, and they occupy second spot in the league standings as we prepare to head into the fourth month of the season.

They have picked up impressive results away from home against high-flyers Fulham and Swansea, gone toe-to-toe with Leeds United at Elland Road, and have turned the City Ground into a fortress so far this term.

There is, of course, still such a long way to go this season, and Lamouchi doesn't seem like the man who will get carried away by talk about promotion.
