Sheffield United gained a valuable one point lead in the race for automatic promotion from the Championship, following a 1-0 win over rivals Leeds United at the weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa's side dominated possession, but were unable to convert it into goal attempts failing to register a shot on target and with the game heading towards a draw, Chris Basham popped up with what was to be the winner on 71 minutes.

To rub further salt in the wounds Leeds keeper Kiko Casilla was red carded towards the end of the match for hauling down Billy Sharp when through on goal, meaning Pontus Jansson had to take the gloves for the final few minutes.

So did Bielsa get anything wrong with his Leeds decisions in the Sheffield United loss?

We discuss.......

Gary Hutchinson

“Not especially.

“I think it was a case of what the Blades got right.

“I was particularly impressed with Wilder’s approach.

“He’s earned his stripes, that’s for sure.”

Jacob Potter

"I don’t think he could have done anymore.

"It was just their own mistakes that let them down in the defeat on Saturday and they need to dust themselves down and go again.

"Bielsa couldn’t have changed anything and it was just a case of Sheffield United being more clinical in front of goal."

George Harbey

"I wouldn’t say he got anything wrong really.

"His side created plenty of chances, but just couldn’t convert them.

"Perhaps there should have been a change in midfield, as they were overran by the Blades and couldn’t cope with Basham."

Jay Taylor

“I think Alioski should have gone off sooner.

“In fact, I think changes needed to be made from the off.

“It was a game too far for some players, and they clearly needed a rest.”
