If the first half of the season has taught him anything, then Marcelo Bielsa will know that the chances of his streamlined Leeds United squad surviving the rigours of a Championship season, could be severely tested by the time the promotion places are decided in May.

Goalkeeper is an obvious position requiring attention following the season ending injury to Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackman, if Bielsa is to provide competition to first-choice Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

Both Wes Foderingham at Rangers and Karl Darlow at Newcastle are keepers who are not first choice at their respective clubs, and are supposedly being courted by Leeds.

So given the choice, who should Leeds go for Foderingham or Darlow?

We discuss.....

Alfie Burns

Darlow – it simply has to be the Newcastle man.

He played a big part in Newcastle’s promotion two years ago and could bring so much to this Leeds squad.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell is still the club’s No.1 and Darlow will provide the perfect competition for him, without pushing his nose out of place and demanding his place in the side.

Gary Hutchinson

I like the look of Darlow myself.

They need a player with experience but who won’t mind time on the bench.

Foderingham, I suspect, will want to be number one.

Darlow might be a little more comfortable fighting BPF.

George Harbey

I’d go with Darlow.

He knows what it takes to gain promotion from this league and would be a more reliable option overall.

£4million is a steal.

Jay Taylor

It looks as if they are going to end up with neither, but if Leeds were to go for one, I would say pick Wes Foderingham.

I feel he is a better all-round goalkeeper and despite being outcasted at Rangers, he would instantly make Leeds a better side.

Karl Darlow is no stranger to the Championship but having not played too much for Newcastle, the Rangers man has more experience and game-time in recent times.

I would put all my eggs in the Ibrox keeper if I had to pick between the two.
