Swansea City have had a mixed time of it so far this season and currently sit in 12th place with 21 games played.

Graham Potter has come in and, on the whole, has done a brilliant job both on in the pitch, in terms of bringing back the slick style of play the club had become synonymous with, and also off it in terms of galvanising the fans after a disappointing relegation.

They were dealt a big blow, however, when it was revealed that left-back Martin Olsson would miss the remainder of the season after he ruptured his Achilles against Brentford last weekend.

It is the same injury that kept Leroy Fer out of action since February and means Potter loses another senior member of his squad for the foreseeable future.

Just how much of a blow is it for the Swans?

We discuss...

Jacob Potter

It's a huge blow.

Olsson has played a crucial role in their promotion push this season and he will leave a huge hole in the Swansea side.

There are options to fill in at left-back, but Potter will need to dip into the transfer market to find a better option for the remainder of the season.

Louie Chandler

Oh, it's a massive blow, undoubtedly.

As one of the more experienced heads in Potters squad he has been crucial in helping the younger core of the squad on matchday, as well as being a quality presence on the left of the defence.

It must be addressed in January.

Alfie Burns

It's a big blow for Swansea and Potter will be so frustrated.

Players like Olsson have made a difference this season when they've been on the top of their game, so it could be really damaging for the Swans.

A January addition must be on the agenda.
