Nottingham Forest have had a tough old season this year, and are firmly involved in a tough battle against relegation.

Their off field problems have been well publicised, and the tenure under manager Philippe Montanier was not a success.

Mark Warburton is now the new man at the helm following his departure from Rangers, and he will be hoping to stave off relegation for the club and get the chance to strengthen his team in the summer.

Forest are still a big draw, and their history as two time European Champions means they can still attract some good players to the club.

Warburton will no doubt have his ideas on who he would like to bring in during the summer, with the hope of leading Forest closer to the top of the table next time out.

With this in mind, we take a look at THREE signings Forest should make to enhance their squad...

James Tavernier

The right back is a big favourite of Warburton's, and it would be no surprise to see him move for the Rangers man in the summer.

Tavernier offers plenty from full back, and gets forward as well as any right back. He would be an excellent signing for Forest, and someone who they could 100% trust to deliver consistently good performances.

Alan Judge

If the Forest owners choose to back Warburton heavily in the transfer window, then Judge is a player Forest could move for.

The manager will know him well from his time at Brentford, and despite having a season ending injury this term, it is expected Judge will come back stronger than ever and ready to prove a point.

Ben Stevenson

If Forest want to opt for a cheaper option and add young talent to their squad, then Coventry man Stevenson could be ideal.

At just 20, he is the ideal age to improve and build a successful Championship career. Stevenson looks every bit a top player in the making, and the chance to play for a top club like Forest could be too good for him to turn down.
