Stoke City have endured a very poor start to the season, with manager Gary Rowett seemingly under pressure to improve results.

The Potters have only managed nine points from a possible 27 and currently sit in 18th place in the table.

With matches coming thick and fast now, Rowett needs to move quickly to turn things around at Stoke.

First up they travel to the City Ground tonight to face Nottingham Forest in the third round of the League Cup before matches against Rotherham, Bolton and Norwich in the league before the international break.

So how much pressure is Rowett currently under?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

Lots. It isn’t working at Stoke.

They’re struggling to defend and whilst they’re not the worst team in the division, much more is expected.

If they’re still there after 15 games, it might be worth dusting off the CV.

Jay Taylor

There is huge pressure now, and his comments in recent days accentuate that.

Coming out and saying he has been too loyal to players and their recent defeat has affected the team is not what you say publicly.

You would imagine he has to start getting results sooner rather than later or face the axe as it clearly isn’t working the way many would have thought it would.

Louie Chandler

Strangely not too much.

It feels like the Stoke board have faith in Rowett to turn things around this season and after how much they invested over the summer it should be up to him to do so.
