The Bolton squad have refused to report to training today as they and the club employees still wait for the March wages.

They were expected to have been paid on Friday but once again that didn't go through on time.

And, Bolton News journalist Marc Iles has revealed that the squad took a stand today by not turning up.

As well as being unhappy at the lack of pay for the staff, the players are also said to be angry at the lack of proper updates from Ken Anderson regarding the takeover situation.

The club are due back in the High Court on Wednesday over an unpaid tax bill, although there is a chance a takeover will go through by then.

But, were the players right to take the action they did?

Here our writers take a look...

George Harbey

"It’s a complete and utter shambles.

"After such a fantastic win at QPR, it’s shame that this has come along to ruin it. It ruins all preparations for the next game and technically gives the other team even more of an advantage.

"They are surely destined for the drop now."

Chris Gallagher

"I think it's the right move.

"The players will be annoyed that this has happened yet again and they should be backed for taking action because it's an awful situation they and the employees have been put in.

"Anderson needs to pay up or at least give them a proper update immediately."

Alfie Burns

"They are well within their rights to do this.

"Things have been heading this way for too long now, and Bolton's players taking this stance will eventually lead to things hurrying through.

"It is disappointing to watch."
