Derby County head to Elland Road on Friday night with Frank Lampard's side looking to close the gap on the Championhsip leaders who they currently trail by eight points.

The Rams go into the match though with a question mark over whether on-loan Liverpool winger Harry Wilson will be available, having sat out the FA Cup defeat at the weekend with a hip problem, as reported in the Derby Telegraph.

The 21-year-old has had a sparkling first half of the season scoring 10 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions and Lampard will be hoping that Liverpool do not activate the clause to recall the player in January if they feel it is necessary.

So how big a loss would Wilson be for Derby in the match against Leeds?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

"It is certainly a big blow.

"Wilson has probably been the Rams' player of the season so far and has so often been the difference in tightly thought games.

"With Friday's clash looking like it could be one of those, his absence could prove costly."

Jay Taylor

“It’s somewhat of a blow for Derby, because he has been their talisman in recent weeks.

"Mason Mount has gone quiet but Harry Wilson has been on top form, and without him, they lack a specialist at set pieces and an influence in the middle of the pitch.

"Derby have plenty of players who can hurt Leeds, so they will need to set up in his potential absence and work harder to secure a win at Elland Road.”

Gary Hutchinson

"Big blow, he’s a talented lad and it’s a shame such a high-profile game will be without two of the key characters, Wilson and Hernandez.

"It does balance things out a little considering the Leeds injury though.

"Derby might be confident given the problems at Elland Road, but this will still be a competitive game."
