Nottingham Forest midfielder Jorge Grant has signed for Mansfield Town on loan for the rest of the season, the Reds have confirmed.

Grant, 24, has scored four goals in 22 games on loan at Luton during the first half of the season, having previously spent loan spells at Notts County since arriving at Forest in 2014.

Mansfield are currently fifth in League Two, two points outside the automatic promotion places.

So was it the right decision for Forest to let Grant out on loan again?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

"I think so.

"He was in and out at Luton and clearly needs more playing time down the leagues if he is to make it at Forest.

"I think he'll tear it up at Mansfield to be honest."

Gary Hutchinson

“Yeah, absolutely.

“I’m not sure the destination is the right one, but he had to go back out on loan.

“I think it would have been more beneficial to see him at Bradford or somewhere like that.

“He’s done League Two already.”

Jay Taylor

“It is a clever bit of business, he has gone from one promotion-chasing side to another so he will be in a familiar position but a league lower.

“And having excelled at Luton, he will surely be able to adapt to life at Mansfield in no time.

“I think this is an excellent move for the player and the club alike and all three parties can benefit from this move.”
