A loss of key personnel due to injuries and suspensions has been a feature of Marcelo Bielsa's season so far, and this shows no sign of letting up, with Adam Forshaw and Kemar Roofe both ruled out of the Championship play-off semi-final second leg against Derby County on Wednesday night.

Forshaw limped off in the semi-final first leg at the weekend on 22 minutes, with Bielsa replacing him with youngster Jamie Shackleton.

So how big a blow is the loss of Forshaw for second leg?

We discuss........

Gary Hutchinson

“Not as much as if they were losing.

“They just have to be resolute and solid, not adventurous in attack.

“Sure, it’s a blow, but not a severe one.

“They need all their players fit if they can get it.”

Ben Lang

“It is a blow, as Bielsa will of course rather have a full squad available.

“However, Shackleton proved on Saturday that he is an able deputy who is definitely up to the challenge of replacing him.

“If anything, Shackleton should have been given a chance sooner, but this now makes it much easier for Bielsa to give him the nod.”

Toby Wilding

"This may not be as big a blow as expected.

"Jamie Shackleton stepped in impressively on Saturday, and will be confident of doing so again on Wednesday in front of an Elland Road crowd that will be desperate for one of their own to do well in such a big game."

Louie Chandler

"Not particularly.

"It's a blow in that it gives Marcelo Bielsa significantly fewer options to play with but I can't see it being too detrimental.

"Shackleton did a great job on Saturday after coming on and I would back him to do the same again."
