Many Blackpool supporters have been reacting to the latest announcement from the club that manager Simon Grayson has been relieved of his duties at Bloomfield Road.

Grayson only returned to Blackpool in the summer with the club looking to bring him back to the club to try and help them mount a push for promotion to the Championship this season, and the Tangerines did manage to make a solid start to the campaign being in and around the top six for the first few months of the season.

However, over recent weeks Blackpool’s form has suffered a real dip, with the Tangerines managing to win just one of their last 12 matches in all competitions, a run which has seen them slide down the League One table to 15th, having sat as high as fourth in the league December.

QUIZ: How much do you know about Blackpool’s January signings?

The 50-year-old had managed to lead Blackpool to promotion from League One in his first spell in charge of the club back in 2007, and there had been some signs that he would be able to do the same again in the first half of the season, but he has come under ever increasing pressure from the club’s supporters over the last few months.

The Tangerines suffered a last minute defeat at home to Gillingham on Tuesday night, despite having taken a lead into half time and then having to come from behind to tie the game up at 2-2 in the first minute of stoppage time, but 95th minute winner from Brandon Hanlan for the Gills endured that the pressure would be ramped up even further on Grayson.

Here then, we take a look at how Blackpool supporters have reacted to Grayson’s departure on social media…
