Brentford manager Thomas Frank is seemingly preparing for life after goalkeeper Daniel Bentley, with a summer move for Dijon keeper Rúnar Alex Rúnarsson an option, according to the Daily Mail.

The Bees are wary they may lose 25-year-old Bentley and see the Icelandic international as the ideal replacement.

So would Rúnarsson prove a good signing for Brentford?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

"It certainly could be.

"The Icelandic shot-stopper is certainly very highly-rated but at the same time I think it would be very harsh on Dan Bentley.

"Bentley has proven to be a top Championship 'keeper and it could prove a mistake letting him go."

Gary Hutchinson

“An interesting one if nothing else.

“It’s hard to glean too much from his current background.

“In terms of age, he looks good. He doesn’t have the experience in England though.

“Brentford bring players on though and that’s promising.”

Alfie Burns

“It feels a very Brentford-like signing.

“If Dan Bentley is going to go, then this is the kind of personnel we will see arrive at Griffin Park.

“Runarsson is at a good age with plenty of potential – we’ve seen his kind thrive at Griffin Park.”

Jacob Potter

"It’s a risk.

"He isn’t proven in the Championship, so there is always an element of risk with deals like this.

"But he’s got to be given a chance, and if he can adjust to life in England quickly, then it’s a smart bit of business by the Bees."
