The ongoing discussions between the owners of Leeds United and French giants PSG, could have a direct influence on Whites manager Marcelo Bielsa's transfer business this summer.a.

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan has suggested to Football Insider that 19-year-old striker Timothy Weah could be on his way to Elland Road this summer claiming: “Leeds could get hold of some top young players on loan – PSG will have strong academy players and players surplus to requirements who may want to come to England and give it a crack at Leeds.

“Timothy Weah is one that has been mentioned. I can see him joining Leeds. He showed at Celtic he has got something, pace, good feet, plenty of raw potential.”

So with Whelan's comments in mind, what do you think of the chances of Weah moving to Leeds?

Kealan Hughes

“It depends on the takeover situation, but I see no reason why a loan deal can’t be struck if QSI do secure a stake in the club.

“I’ve seen it reported that Leeds will direct much of their finances into loan signings this season, much like how Derby did with tremendous success.

“It would be a good move for PSG too, he’ll learn a great deal from Bielsa and from playing in the Championship. And I think it’s a better opportunity than his last loan spell at Celtic.”

Gary Hutchinson

“If it’s not coming from Phil Hay, I’d say 50/50.

“There is a lot written about Leeds, lots of speculation and to be fair to Whelan, he knows the squad and the set up.

“I don’t see this happening though, not at all. Unless it’s covered by Mr Leeds United himself, I’ll treat it with a dose of scepticism.

“It would be a huge signing though, that’s for sure.”

George Brooks

"I think this depends entirely on whether the PSG owner buys a stake in the Championship club.

"If Radrizanni can agree some kind of deal with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, then there is a chance that this could happen.

"If not, I can't see it happening.

"Weah is an exciting young player and would be a great signing for Leeds."
