It is beginning to feel like a matter of time until a new West Brom manager is announced with Slaven Bilic leading the race.

He was revealed as the front-runner two weeks ago and talks appear to progressing well. So attention will now turn to who he will target in the summer window.

And according to the Telegraph, the Baggies are weighing up a move for West Ham United defender Reece Oxford after his proposed permanent move to Augsburg hit a stumbling block.

He is a player that Bilic knows well from his time as West Ham manager but would he start for the Baggies?

We discuss...

Toby Wilding

"At the minute he probably wouldn't.

"West Brom's current options, such as Craig Dawson and Ahmed Hegazi, would be difficult for Oxford to get into the side ahead of, given their continued reliable performances in The Baggies' back line.

"But with rumours around their futures at The Hawthorns, Oxford could get the opportunity to stake his claim for a place in the side should he make the move to The Hawthorns."

Chris Gallagher

"Without a doubt.

"Bilic often used Oxford in a defensive midfield position at West Ham and he would be exactly what West Brom need in that position.

"They lack energy in the middle of the park and he is also very composed on the ball. He would be a great signing and go straight into the Baggies side under the Croatian."

Louie Chandler

"It depends on a few factors.

"If the likes of Craig Dawson and/or Ahmed Hegazy are sold this summer then I think he would have a great chance of starting regularly.

"And if Bilic plans on using him in midfield, like he did during his time with West Ham, then it would also increase his chances of starting.

"The Baggies need a neat passing midfielder who also has the athleticism to get around the pitch, something the likes of Brunt and Morrison are lacking in the latter stages of their careers."
