Huddersfield Town are enjoying a revival under Danny Cowley, with the Terriers unbeaten in seven league starts and up to 18th in the Championship, heading into the weekend trip to Preston North End.

With success comes inevitable interest in players with Bournemouth one of what is expected to be a number of Premier League clubs looking to sign Terriers striker Karlan Grant in January, according to a report in The Sun.

The 22-year-old has scored nine goals for Huddersfield this season, and is undoubtedly one of the standout strikers in the second tier at the moment.

So would Grant be a good addition to Eddie Howe's squad?

We discuss.........

Toby Wilding

"I think this could be a really useful signing for Bournemouth.

"The Cherries do have a strong attacking lineup at the minute, but with the struggles some of the so-called bigger sides are experiencing at the minute, it wouldn't be a surprise if the likes of Arsenal renew their previous interest in Callum Wilson.

"If that was to be the case, then Bournemouth would surely need a replacement centre forward, and Grant looks to be more than capable of filling that role.

"Despite his side's struggles earlier in the campaign, Grant is still the third-highest scorer in the Championship with nine goals, while the fact that he was just as effective for the Terriers as they slid out of the Premier League in the second-half of last season after joining in January, suggests he would be more than capable of a return to the top flight with Eddie Howe's side, meaning this could well be a decent signing regardless of what happens with the likes of Wilson."

Josh Cole

“If Bournemouth do indeed swoop for Grant in the January transfer window, it could turn out to be somewhat of a coup for Eddie Howe’s side.

“Since joining Huddersfield earlier this year from Charlton Athletic, the forward has arguably been their best player due to his goal-scoring escapades in both the Premier League and the Championship.

“Having found the back of the net in the top-flight on four occasions last season, Grant has netted nine goals in the second-tier during the current campaign.

“With the Cherries opting to play an attacking brand of football under Howe, the Huddersfield man may end up being a fantastic signing for the club if he can hit the ground running in the Premier League.”

"This has the feel of a very typical AFC Bournemouth signing - it wouldn't be the first time that they spend big on young talent from the EFL.

"Grant has been excellent since signing for Huddersfield, he impressed in the latter stages of the Premier League season last term and to have scored nine goals for a struggling team this season is hugely impressive.

"He's strong, quick, powerful and is an excellent finisher. He scores all different types of goals, and I think he'd be a top signing for the Cherries having already experienced a taste for the top-flight.

"I can't see Huddersfield wanting to let him leave having only signed him in January - Bournemouth would surely have to pay big bucks if they were to sign the prolific forward, especially given his length of contract."
