VfL Wolfsburg manager Bruno Labbadia is a potential candidate to become the next manager of West Brom, according to a report by SportBild (via Sport Witness).

Albion have been searching for a permanent manager since head coach Darren Moore was sacked over two months ago, with the team nine points outside the automatic promotion places in the Championship.

Caretaker boss James Shan was able to cement help the club cement their position in the top six, but the team eventually missed out on promotion, losing on penalties to rivals Aston Villa in the play-offs.

Labbadia is reportedly a potential candidate to take over at the Hawthorns, following his success with Wolfsburg this season, where he was able to guide the club to sixth-placed finish in the Bundesliga, securing their qualification for the Europa League.

So, would Labbadia be a good appointment for West Brom? We discuss...

George Harbey

"You've got to say that it's a risk.

"There are plenty of managers out there that are experienced in the EFL, Slavisa Jokanovic and Chris Hughton being prime examples.

"Then again, Labbadia is clearly a very talented coach, and the likes of Daniel Stendel and Daniel Farke have proven to work wonders since joining from a German club."

Jacob Potter

"It would be a risk, but it could pay off.

"Labbadia doesn't have experience of managing in England, but we've already seen a good example in Norwich with foreign coaches coming over and doing extremely well.

"He'd be expected to win promotion back to the Premier League with the Baggies though, and it would be interesting to see if he could deal well with the pressure."

George Brooks

"Labbadia is a talented manager and deserves credit for what he has been able to achieve at Wolfsburg, guiding the club to the Europa League.

"He is an experienced coach and has managed a host of clubs in Germany, but he has no experience at all of managing in England, so there is an element of risk there for West Brom.

"With that said, we've seen already this season how foreign coaches can be successful in the EFL, so he could be a good appointment for the Baggies, although I wouldn't be surprised to see them go for someone with a bit more experience."
