Norwich City will be looking to make it two wins on the bounce when they travel to Reading in the Championship tonight, but could manager Daniel Farke be looking at picking up a free agent to bolster his ranks at Carrow Road.

With Aston Villa keen on former Swansea defender and free agent Steven Caulker as reported in the Birmingham Mail, could this be a person who is available and who could do a job for the Canaries?

Therefore, we ask the question, should Norwich look to hijack Villa's deal to sign Caulker?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

Yes, they’ve looked shaky at the back at times and he would add a certain quality.

If he was given a choice between them and Villa though, there’s only one side he’s going to.

He has to play regular football, there’s no doubting that at all.

He’d bring value to the Norwich side, but there’s little chance of it happening.

George Dagless

It could be worth a look.

Up to before the Middlesbrough game, Norwich's defence had been below where they know it can be.

Grant Hanley is out for a bit now, it might be worth bringing in the former Swansea man.

Jay Taylor

He would be a good addition to the Norwich side should Daniel Farke deem a transfer such as that as necessary.

A squad player in the most part as it will be hard to dislodge Christoph Zimmerman and Timm Klose in the centre-half positions.

Norwich still look lacking in depth so adding a player with the experience of Steven Caulker would do them no harm.

George Harbey

Why not? Caulker is a solid championship player who has done well over the last year or so in Scotland.

Squad depth is essential in this division, and while Norwich have been solid at the back recently, Caulker would be a shrewd addition at Carrow Road
