Nottingham Forest remain in the promotion mix, having secured a draw against Bristol City at the weekend, a result that leaves Sabri Lamouchi's side in fifth place in the Championship, seven points off leaders West Brom.

Lamouchi though is looking to strengthen his squad with teenage Marseille attacking midfielder Jores Rahou a target, according to La Provence (via Nottinghamshire Live) with Forest's head of international recruitment already having held talks with the 16-year-old.

Forest will not have things there own way though with Red Bull Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen having both made enquiries about the talented youngster.

So would Rahou be a good addition at the City Ground?

We discuss........

Chris Gallagher

"You have to trust the recruitment team on this one.

"It's unlikely that any Forest fan has seen the youngster play, so it's hard to judge him and whether he will be able to make an impact in the long-term.

"However, he is clearly a highly-rated player and he is someone Jose Anigo knows well, so his judgement has to be trusted on this one.

"And, he deserves that trust after a very productive summer transfer window that has seen the club bring in several bargain players because of Anigo. So, it will be interesting to see if they can conclude a deal fro the teenager."

Ned Holmes

"This looks like it could be an exciting move for Forest but one that may take a few years before we see its full impact.

"The 16-year-old has impressed this year, winning Marseille's young player of the Month in September as well as reportedly attracting the attention from the likes of RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen.

"Forest do already have two long-term options in attacking midfield in Tiago Silva and Joao Carvalho but this is still a signing that could pay dividends in the future.

"Head of recruitment Jose Anigo appears to know the player from his time at Marseille, so you feel Reds fans can have confidence in his belief in the teenager."

Chris Thorpe

"This would certainly be an interesting move for Forest if they were to make their interest in the player serious, with Rahou having been earmarked as one of Marseille's best young talents.

"Forest of course are well stocked in midfield areas, meaning that this could be viewed as a signing with the club's future in mind, rather than throwing the youngster in at the deep end straight away.

"In recent years the Championship's monetary value has improved in recent years, thus allowing clubs to pick up some of the best young talents from across Europe both this season and the last.

"Lamouchi will be hopeful that securing the signature of Rahou will provide his side with a player who can make a similar impact to that of Matheus Pereira at West Brom, however it remains to be seen if they will be able to snare him from the French giants."
