Bristol City manager Lee Johnson is looking north of the border as he looks to bolster his squad in the January transfer window, with his side sitting mid-table, after a solid start to their Championship campaign.

Scotland U21 full-back Ryan Williamson is a target of Johnson, with the Robins considering a bid for the 22-year-old Dunfermline player in January, according to Alan Nixon in the Sun on Sunday (November 4th, Page 59).

So would Williamson be a good signing for City?

We discuss.....

George Harbey

It could be a shrewd signing.

Dunfermline are hardly impressing in the second tier of the Scottish Leagues, so the Robins have obviously seen something good enough in him to want to sign him.

Jay Taylor

They have Jack Hunt, who was a summer signing from Sheffield Wednesday and has been pretty solid this season.

I can see Ryan Williamson, should he sign, play second fiddle to Hunt but will give him more competition to up his personal performances for the benefit of the Robins.

It’s a bit of business that would be a luxury rather than a necessity.

George Dagless

Potentially.

Bristol City have got a decent side already but they are always on the look out for young players that can improve them.

Williamson is a decent player so it might well be worth a look.
