Bolton Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson could have a challenge on his hands, with Premier League sides interested in signing 17-year-old Luca Connell, it has been reported in the Bolton News.
Tottenham are joined by Southampton and Burnley in having expressed an interest in the youngster, who has been at Wanderers since 2010 at youth level.
So would Connell be a good signing for Spurs?
“Hard to say.
“He obviously has talent but it’s early to assess how good he can be.
“Tottenham have a good record with young players, though, so you’d imagine they would be confident in getting this right.”
“Not for Spurs fans!
“They want big names to keep their title challenge alive.
“They don’t want someone from the bottom of the Championship.
“It’s one of those deals that’s hard to quantify.”
“Spurs have history in signing young players and turning them into stars.
“If the Premier League side are keeping tabs, they must think he is a real talent. Otherwise, they wouldn’t bother.
“With the state, Bolton are in, I could see it as a good move for the club and the player.
“If he has the skill set that Spurs desire then it could be a great signing.”
