‘Isn’t very good’, ‘Touch of an elephant’ – These Sunderland fans slam attacker after recent display

Sunderland got back to winning ways yesterday as they scored two late goals to see off ten-man Gillingham.

Boss Phil Parkinson made changes for the game after two disappointing results and one of those to benefit with a start was forward Aiden O’Brien.

The Irish international hasn’t been a regular since signing this summer after leaving Millwall and the 27-year-old didn’t really take his chance on Saturday.

O’Brien worked hard for the team but he didn’t create enough opportunities and his control let him down on several occasions.

He was replaced in the 69th minute and the Black Cats went on to score the decisive goals after he had been taken off.

Even though it’s very early days in his Sunderland career, it’s fair to say that supporters of the Wearside outfit haven’t been impressed with what they’ve seen so far.

Here we look at some of the comments from Twitter to O’Brien’s performance yesterday…
