‘Isn’t there when needed’ – Plenty of West Brom fans slam player after Nottingham Forest clash

West Bromwich Albion suffered late heartbreak in the Sky Bet Championship yesterday, after drawing 2-2 with promotion rivals Nottingham Forest at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies were looking to make it four wins in four games and further extend their lead at the top of the table, but it wasn’t to be after a fiery affair in the West Midlands.

It was a feisty encounter from the off as Keith Stroud failed to gain control of a lively opening 45 minutes. Callum Robinson opened the scoring on 37 minutes, before Kyle Bartley put into his own net on the stroke of half-time.

West Brom controversailly regained the lead in the 65th minute when Tobias Figueiredo put into his own goal, with Forest believing that there was a foul in the build-up.

But the Baggies were unable to hold on when Matty Cash fired in a ferocious stoppage-time effort to snatch a point right at the death for the Reds.

West Brom fans have took to social media to criticise Sam Johnstone after the game, with many believing that the former Manchester United shot-stopper could have done better with the effort.
