With a reshuffle set to happen at Newcastle, the latest casualty will be former youth product Sammy Ameobi.
The 23-year-old has confirmed that he will depart the club this summer on a free transfer, and he could be a fantastic addition for a host of Championship clubs, if they have the patience for him.
Never given the time to bed into the side at Newcastle, Ameobi has been somewhat of a scapegoat for Newcastle fans and his inconsistency lies with the fact he is rarely given consistent games to find real form.
The English born but Nigerian International has bags of pace and will always look to beat a defender and cross from the byline, the winger has also gained the ability to cut in from the wings and take a shot himself.
Wingers are always wanted in the Championship and there’s no doubt that there will be fierce competition for his signature this summer.
Ameobi would be a fantastic addition at Leeds United with the club lacking both pace and width, other clubs that should look to Ameobi are Nottingham Forest, Brentford, Derby and Reading.
