Birmingham City have confirmed that the club have offered new contracts to Viv Solomon-Otabor and Beryly Lubala ahead of the expiration of their current deals.

Solomon-Otabor, who spent all of last season on loan at Blackpool before temporarily moving to League One play-off semi-finalists Portsmouth for the second half of the current campaign, has been offered a new 12 month deal at St Andrew's.

The 23-year-old attacker has made a total of 40 appearances for the Midlands side since making his debut in 2015.

Lubala meanwhile made his debut in a 3-1 defeat away to Bristol City towards the end of last season, and has gone onto make four more appearances for the club this season.

The 19-year-old has been offered a new one year contract with an option of a further 12 months after that.

Taking to Twitter to react to the news of the new offers, it was the decision to offer a new contract to Solomon-Otabor to generated most of the response, which was a considerably mixed one.
