League Two is once again proving to be its reliable, entertaining self this season with battles at the top and battles at the bottom looking set to go right to the wire. 

Just 12 points separate the entire top eight teams leaving the play-off and automatic promotion places wide open whilst there are just ten points between the bottom five as well.

One team battling towards that wrong end of the table is Port Vale who currently sit in 22nd place, just one place and three points ahead of Macclesfield Town and the relegation zone.

Last weekend saw them lose a crunch match to fellow strugglers Cheltenham Town 1-0 with the club fuming at the decision to disallow a late David Worrall goal.

It was the final straw for the powers that be at the club confirming that they would be reporting the incident to the Match Officials Administration System that handles complaints about referees and his colleagues.
