Wolves will be itching to get back playing this weekend as they look to continue their title challenge and extend their lead at the top.

Of course, the latter will depend on results around them but all they can do is focus on winning games and they've certainly done a good job of that so far.

Nuno Santo and his men look like seasoned Championship stars, negating the fact that many of them arrived in the summer, and it does seem very likely that they will be getting promoted come the end of the campaign.

They'll be looking to add to their challenge in January, then, with some good signings and it looks as though Rafa Silva is a potential arrival.

The classy winger is being linked with the club by Record in Portugal in what would be a very eye-opening deal. Silva is an international for Portugal and a leading light for Benfica - despite being out of favour this season - so it would generate some real talking points.

One such point, too, is where would that leave Helder Costa? The £9m-rated ace has the potential to be a top star but injury and the form of Wolves' other attackers have yielded him a stop start campaign.

The arrival of Silva would only hinder his progress that little bit more, too, and though he'd be rotated in he wouldn't get as many minutes as he perhaps should.

It's an interesting drawback to what would be a very impressive signing.
