Aston Villa return to action tonight as they face a tough game away at Preston in the Championship.

The men from Deepdale are going pretty well at the moment and there is a good chance that they will be in and around the top six for the duration of the season.

Villa, then, will need to be on form to get the three points but after last night's games they will know that such a result will get them back into the top six and so that should be enough to motivate them. Thinking about line-up selection, then, we're wondering whether it is time for Neil Taylor to return to the side.

The Welsh left-back has been good this season but has been suspended for the last few games, leaving the likes of Alan Hutton to come in and cover. The Scottish full-back has done a pretty decent job, too, and so Bruce might have a harder call to make than it might have been when deciding who plays on the left tonight.

However, though Hutton has done a good job, we still think that Taylor should be back in the side tonight as he is one of the best in his position in the league. He won't be too rusty, either, and the games out might have actually provided him a good chance to rest up.

He should be raring to go against the Lilywhites, then, and we'd start him if we were in Bruce's shoes.
