You will struggle to find a better bargain signing in the EFL this summer than Tom Eaves, who enjoyed a hugely impressive campaign with Gillingham last term.

The 27-year-old has established himself as one of the most prolific forwards in League One over the last couple of years, scoring 22 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions in the 2018/19 campaign.

But after scoring 40 goals in a total of 97 games for the Gills, the towering forward is available to sign on a free transfer this summer, following the expiry of his contract at Priestfield.

The Kent club have offered the former Yeovil man a new contract in their hopes of retaining the services of their star-man, but manager Steve Evans has already admitted that he is resigned to losing the striker.
