Aston Villa are eyeing a loan swoop for Swansea City attacker Ollie McBurnie, according to the Express and Star.

The Villans are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements, and it seems that Bruce has identified one of the forwards he'd like to secure in January.

Would he be a good signing for Villa?

This would be a good move for all concerned.

Swansea need the Scotland youngster to get first-team football, he needs a chance to prove himself and Villa need a forward that's available and won't cost too much.

It's a risk in the sense that McBurnie hasn't yet proven himself at senior level, but he's scored regularly for the U23s.

A smart signing if Bruce can pull it off.

Alfie Burns

Villa’s need for another striking addition is common knowledge, and Bruce will be looking to strengthen that area of his squad as early as possible in January.

McBurnie is a talented striker, but he has very little first-team experience and whether he is the right man to assist Keinan Davis remains to be seen.

In my opinion, Bruce should be targeting a more experienced striker.

Is he really what Villa need?

The Villans have good young players and McBurnie would fit into that environment but I can't help but feel they don't need that.

Villa need a striker, yes, but why not go after someone with a bit more experience to help their promotion charge along?
