Birmingham City's season has taken a nose-dive following a nine point deduction for breaching profitability and sustainability rules, as reported on BBC Sport.

This punishment is likely to place further pressure on Blues manager Garry Monk, with Everton one of a number of clubs interested in his star-striker Che Adams, with a race to sign the 22-year-old likely to be one of the deals of the summer, as reported in the Sun on Sunday (March 24, Page 59).

So would Adams be a good signing for Everton?

We discuss........

Jacob Potter

"This would be a very good addition to their squad.

"Adams is a proven goalscorer, and that’s exactly what Everton have been crying out for in recent seasons.

"They need to do all they can to sign him."

Gary Hutchinson

“If they played him, yes.

“He’s going to be on the move, there’s little doubt about that.

“He’s a good, honest footballer with roots in the non-league.

“He could be a big star for them.”

Jay Taylor

“With the money Everton have and the aspirations, too – is he really the best they could get?

“Unproven on the Premier League and has had one good year the league below, is he the calibre of player that can lead the Toffees to glory?

“I have my doubts.

“But he could become a world-beater overnight if he were to move to Goodison Park – it all remains to be seen, however.”
