On Monday afternoon, Queens Park Rangers confirmed the signing of exciting midfielder Luke Freeman for an undisclosed fee from fellow Championship side Bristol City, on a three-and-a-half year deal.

The arrival of the 24-year-old means it is Ian Holloway's third capture of the January transfer window following the acquirement of Sean Goss from Manchester United, and Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kazenga LuaLua on loan.

It's fair to say Freeman has a lot of potential and could possibly be an influential member of the first-team at Loftus Road as they look to reignite their season.

Bristol City fans will be devastated, however, losing one of their better players this month as the Robins look to survive the drop with just two points separating them and the relegation zone - a run of eight league matches without victory has seem them slump down the table.

With one set of fans having a reason to be optimistic and the other to be the complete opposite, here is how Twitter reacted to the transfer.
