Hull City were narrowly defeated by Premier League giants Chelsea at the weekend in the FA Cup, as they were beaten 2-1 by the Blues at the KCOM Stadium.

Goals from Michy Batshuayi and Fikayo Tomori proved to be enough for Frank Lampard's side, although they had a nervy finish after Kamil Grosicki fired home a free-kick in the second-half.

But the Tigers could see their FA Cup exit as a blessing in disguise, as it means they can now turn their attentions to their play-off bid in the Championship this season.

Grant McCann's side are next in action on Tuesday when they take on relegation-threatened Huddersfield Town, in what could potentially be a tricky test for the Tigers.

But how can we expect Hull to line up for this game?

Find out below....

George Long is a certain starter for the Tigers, and will be hoping that he can be less busy than he was against Chelsea in the FA Cup on Saturday evening.

Reece Burke and Ryan Tafazolli both started the game against the Blues, but with a lack of real depth in that position, it seems unlikely that McCann will rest either central defender.

Eric Lichaj is likely to move back into the right-back position for this one, whilst Callum Elder could come back into the starting XI after being rested against the Premier League side at the weekend.

Herbie Kane and Leo da Silva Lopes dealt well with the threat that Chelsea posed on Saturday, and it seems difficult to see McCann dropping either central midfielder for this game against Huddersfield Town.

Jackson Irvine was rested against Chelsea, but it seems likely that Irvine will start ahead of George Honeyman for this one against Danny Cowley's side.

Jarrod Bowen is a certain starter for Hull in this one, and their talisman will be hoping he can add to his goal tally, which currently stands at 17 in all competitions this season.

Kamil Grosicki could start this one ahead of Mallik Wilks, who struggled to make a notable impact against Chelsea. Grosicki came off the substitutes bench to pull a goal back for the Tigers in the second-half, and he'll be pushing for a start against the Terriers on Tuesday.

Josh Magennis is another player that will be eyeing a return to the starting XI, after being rested against Chelsea. Tom Eaves was given the nod to start against the Blues, but Magennis did come on as a second-half substitute as Hull went in search of an equaliser.
