It's a new era for Ipswich Town, with Paul Hurst gearing up for his first season as manager of the Tractor Boys after he replaced long-serving Mick McCarthy.

The former Shrewsbury boss has a growing reputation in the game after his fine work with Grimsby and then the League One club.

However, he's going to have a tough task to improve Ipswich given the resources they have in comparison to the rest of the division.

It won't faze Hurst, who has never needed big budgets to be successful but he will have to be smart in his recruitment.

One possibility is that he will look to use the loan market. And, here we suggest three potential targets that won't be needed at Premier League clubs next season and could do a good job at Portman Road...

The West Ham midfielder is a tidy player, who works hard and can keep the ball well.

He's unlikely to get game time at the London club and a move seems inevitable. After a spell with Bolton last season the 22-year old showed he can cope at this level and Cullen could thrive over a whole season.

A criticism of the Tractor Boys over years is that they aren't exciting enough going forward and Graham could change that.

An old-school winger, the Wolves man has electric pace, loves to take defenders on and offers great delivery. His time at Molineux is up and he needs to resurrect his career so will have a point to prove as well.

This would be ambitious but with Bobby Reid now at Cardiff, along with Kenneth Zohore and a further striker expected, Madine's could be on his way from the Welsh club after just six months.

It hasn't worked out with the target man not scoring since making a £6m move and Cardiff are not going to get that fee back for him. Therefore, a loan could be the best for all concerned and it would give Ipswich a proven striker at this level.
