Like Father, Like Son. Andre comes off the bench to replicate his fathers achievement over 30 years on.

Andre Dozzell celebrates scoring on his debut at Sheffield Wednesday

The eagerly anticipated talent Andre Dozzell stepped onto the Hillsborough turf to rescue a point for the Tractorboys last Saturday, against a strong Sheffield Wednesday outfit.

Saturday marked the introduction of Andre the son of Jason Dozzell, an ex-Ipswich Town fan favourite.

Dozzell was the shining light of the performance on Saturday as he replicated his father’s feat, by coming off the bench to score on his debut, this result however all but ended the Blues’ play-off hopes.

McCarthy has announced that the 16-year-old will make his professional debut against the Cottagers on Tuesday night.

The Blues have noticeable injuries, one major loss who will miss tonight’s home game is joint top scorer Daryl Murphy. Cole Skuse however is likely to feature after missing Saturday’s clash with a neck problem.

Ipswich Town fans, what do you make of the news? Should Dozzell be starting on Tuesday night? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
