Ipswich Town weighing up move for Premier League midfielder

Published

Crystal Palace youngster Sullay Kaikai could be on Mick McCarthy’s shortlist, as he looks to strengthen his Ipswich Town side ahead of the Championship kicking off at the weekend, according to TWTD via the Croydon Advertiser.

Kaikai had a hugely productive loan spell in League 1 with Shrewsbury Town last campaign where he very much caught the eye, and was rewarded with his Premier League debut for Crystal Palace on the last day of the season.

However it looks like the Eagles would be keen to offload Kaikai in a temporary measure once more, and McCarthy’s presence in their recent friendly win over AFC Wimbledon could suggest that his next destination will be Portman Road.

Ipswich are in the market for a winger having missed out on certain targets over the past couple of months, so are seemingly ready to give Kaikai the opportunity to prove himself at Championship level.

McCarthy will hope to act quickly so that he can get any potential deal over the line before their Championship opener against Barnsley in a few days time.

Ipswich fans…What do you think? Would you like to see Kaikai join? Where else does your team need strengthening? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
