Ipswich and Wigan will play out what is a top end of the table clash tonight, with the Latics needing a win to take them one step closer to automatic promotion and potentially the title.

The Tractor Boys have been eyeing the play-off spots since Kieran McKenna took over but after looking like one of the form teams in the division, it looks as though they may have to settle for a top half finish instead.

Leam Richardson's side on the other hand very much have their destiny in their own hands. The automatic spots certainly look on and if they can wrap up a win here, then they will edge closer towards the title and a spot back in the Championship.

With that in mind then, here is all you need to know about the clash between these two.

Latest team news

Ipswich could be without two fairly important players for this one, with Sone Aluko potentially sidelined as well as Janoi Donacien. The latter of the two in particular has excelled given the chance again this campaign and with 40 league games to his name, he's been massive for the Tractor Boys. However, they'll have to make do without him here.

As for Wigan, the only real absence right now could be Curtis Tilt, who looks to be out for the rest of the season. That too is a blow but they should have someone capable of stepping in during the interim.

Score prediction

Ipswich have been one of the best teams in the entire division in this second half of the season. It's been hard to break them down and take any points from them. On the other hand, the Latics have struggled in recent weeks but badly need a win here. There is more in it for Leam Richardson's side - and they could just sneak the victory they need here. 2-1 Wigan.
