Departing Ipswich Town ace Tom Lawrence has posted a message on his Twitter account as he leaves the club.

After his season long loan at Ipswich came to an end, he took to social media to thank the club after a successful personal season.

Lawrence, on loan from Premier League champions Leicester City, was the standout performer for Ipswich in an underwhelming season in the Championship.

The Wales international netted 11 goals in 37 appearances from the attacking midfield regions, including some long range stunners.

This helped the 23-year-old forward win Goal of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season for Ipswich.

In his heartfelt Twitter message, Lawrence reserved special gratitude for his team, the staff and the fans for making him welcome with constant support, right from the moment he arrived at Portman Road.

Lawrence added that he had made some great memories this season and he wished Ipswich luck for the future, implying that he is unlikely to return.
