FLW understands Pratley is set to join Ipswich Town

According to FLW sources, Pratley will travel to Portman Road today to undergo a medical with the Tractor Boys, before signing a two-year contract.

The move is a further blow to Bolton boss Neil Lennon who was hoping to see his central midfielder sign a new deal with the club, having already released 12 members of last year's first-team squad.

Pratley will sign for an undisclosed fee and will become the first summer signing for boss McCarthy.

The 30-year-old signed for the Trotters in 2011 and made 98 appearances for the club scoring nine goals in the process.

He moved to the Macron Stadium following an impressive spell with Swansea City, where he was a key member of the squad that won promotion to the Premier League.

Whilst with the Welsh club he played 177 times, scoring 26 goals.
